"My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth." 1 John 3:18
It has been a bit since I have had time to post. My husband and I have been working on redoing our kitchen! It all started with a rooster cookie jar (pictured above) that I had found a good while back. I had bought it and stowed it away in anticipation of bringing together my kitchen redo. I love the colors in the cookie jar and have been looking for things to bring my kitchen together in a similar color scheme. I wanted a "happy" kitchen.... you know the kind of kitchen that you just can't feel sad in. One that has "happy" colors. So I have been picking up things as I ran across them and hoarding them away. Another of the things that I found were rooster plates that I just loved and from there I just kept finding and hoarding until I thought I had enough to pull my plan together. We painted the kitchen ceiling white and the walls are painted a light yellow on the top portion of the wall and a little deeper yellow on the bottom portion of the walls. We added molding and painted it with a white high gloss paint and also painted the remaining trim with the same white high gloss. We painted the laundry room in the light yellow with white trim. I replaced my old kitchen light fixture with a new stained glass light fixture. I really don't like my kitchen cabinets or my kitchen table but replacing either is not in the budget, so they will just have to do. I thought about painting them too, but I probably will just leave then alone for now. I will try to post some photos in a day or to, so come back soon!
Until next time, take care!
