Coffee Stained

I have decided that hubby and I are not true coffee-a-holics. I have just about given up coffee only to have it on really, really cold days and then a cup will do me. Hubby still drinks it everyday, but I think that he likes a little coffee with his cream, as they say. Very weak coffee. Either way he still always makes a full fresh pot of coffee each morning and there is always lots left over.

So I used the coffee to stain these tags. Even after soaking them for over two days there was still not a lot of dark color. I actually "faux aged" these up a bit with inks, but am still pleased with the results. Oh...and they do smell like coffee.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Hi Barbara! Your tags are so cute! I love the patina that the coffee treatment gives them :)

Thanks so much, as always, for your sweet comments about my work! And yes, married life is suiting me very well, thank you :)

Take care,
Ivy

I like the tags and the rhinestones. Did you use a stamp on the tags, I would like an Efiel tower stamp. Great job.
P.S I am not a coffee drinker I am a tea girl. TTFN

Hi Barbara!!
O-o-o-o-o coffee.... How I love it!! I am not a soda or tea drinker.
Cold here today. Woke up to 29 degrees & everything frozen. The gardens are finally done for the season.
Have a Great Day!!

Yay! That one is mine!! Too funny about your coffee! We drink it alot here. I'll brew a pot in the morning and have a couple cups, hubby will grab one for the road to work and then I'll have the left over coffee for my tags. It must be stronger than yours cause my tags just sit there for 2 minutes and they are brown! LOL! Can you imagine my teeth?! Ha! Cofffe works better for me than tea does for my tags! It'S a fun process!
Hugs~
